MARGARET LEAK NEE WALMSLEY was born in Mount St hospital Preston Lancs. On the 15th April 1939(was this the reason for the second world war). The third child of Thomas and Daisy Walmsley nee Hesmondhalgh. They lived at 64 Ripon St. Preston Lancs.
Margaret went to English martyrs school, Garstang Rd Preston Lancs. in 1944 and left school in1954.
She started work at Sanderson's (bookbinders) as a bookbinder in 1954, married Noel Leak at English martyrs Church Garstang Rd Preston Lancs. on 18th July 1959 and gave birth to Dennis Mark Noel 29th April 1961 and Caroline Margaret on 6th December 1962.
In 1972 she moved to Barnoldswick and started work at Carrs Printers where she remained until her retirement in 1999.
